Success Story: Laura

This is Laura’s success story.

Laura is a student of our PASS programme. This programme works with young women aged 16 – 24 who are not in education, employment or training. It is based on developing a diverse range of practical skills, such as DIY and employability skills while supporting young women to build self-confidence.

Laura engaged with PASS, working particularly hard on skills and confidence building. As a result, she has recently found a paid apprenticeship with Wee Chicks as a childcare worker.

Laura, who is mum to Amelia had been struggling to find paid childcare work. Now thanks to our programme and her dedication, she is now embarking on a wonderful new career!

We are passionate about providing opportunities like this through our range of programmes to women in the community. We include confidence and resilience building in all our programmes, alongside skills training.

This allows our participants to grow and develop and consider opportunities that they may not have thought about before.
