Let’s Talk About Success

Let’s talk about ‘overnight success’ for a minute.

Most of the ‘success’ you see (whether its getting a dream job, graduating uni, or getting baby to sleep through the night) didn’t happen fast and probably didn’t happen like social media photos tell you!

Most of the people who achieved their goals also experienced rejection, sacrifice and sometimes despair. And eventually they figured out how to make it work.

So if you’re feeling like things are an uphill struggle right now It’s totally normal! Keep focused.

And we’re here to help you in whatever way we can because there is nothing more powerful than a community of women raising each other up and supporting each other.

One way we support women is through our Connect4Women programme. We have linked up with partners Glow NI and Shankill Women’s Centre to provide around 60 women per year the opportunity to think about what success means to them. We will then work with these women to help them achieve that success.

WOMEN’STEC is already well known for its practical trades courses, Shankill Women’s Centre will provide GCSE and essential skills courses and GLOW will provide a personal development programme. And it doesn’t stop there, the courses will be complemented by workshops on health, nutrition, managing finances and much, much more.

Students will be guided along the way by a mentor from one of the partners. Mentors will provide guidance on what workshops or courses are likely to suit best and when, and agree a plan of action.

Recruitment for this exciting programme will start towards the summer time, so if you are of working age and have a personal or career goal you want to achieve, this programme might be the one for you!
